Friday was pleasantly bright, but on returning home the power went off, as the lines could actually be seen falling in Park Lane. The following morning the repair crew were on site and told me they has been down the waterworks overnight and had a further job to do at the 'Shepherd and Dog'. |

It seems they had to wait several hours for an engineer to do a risk assessment of the job before they could star, a wait of several hours.
Fine fellows and doing a great job - but what a way to run a railway, keeping people in the cold until somebody turned up to tell them what they already knew! |
