The lower portion of the tower is 13th century, with a 14th century bell chamber and a late16th or early 17th century brick parapet. The crocketed pinnacles are 17th century. There are six bells, which are regularly rung: | ||

In 1997 a bell-ringing floor was constructed at the level of the new organ
gallery, allowing the ground floor of the tower to be used as a vestry.
