St Mary's Church is the venue for a number of arts events every year. The Festival
of Arts & Flowers, an annual event since 1976, consists of an art exhibition, crafts,
music and flower arrangements. It is normally held on the weekend following the Summer
Bank Holiday (1999, 4th & 5th September). For the programme of other events in 1999,
